The town of Lac-Brome in the Eastern Townships was home to the crew of the TV series The Republic of Sarah, which began shooting in the last few days.
The series will tell the story of a high school teacher who will oppose the destruction of her town by a mining company and who will use a mapping error to declare the town’s independence.
The main actors arrived some time ago in order to comply with the mandatory quarantine. Here are pictures of their respective Instagram accounts since they have been in Quebec.
Stella Baker
The daughter of Australian actor Simon Baker (The Mentalist) will play the lead role of Sarah Cooper in the series. She also starred in the TV series Tell Me Your Secrets and co-wrote, produced and starred in the short film Candace, which won Best Film at the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
Luke Mitchell
The 35-year-old actor takes advantage of the surroundings of the filming location to go for walks with his dog, who accompanied him to Quebec, to admire the colors of autumn. Mitchell has appeared in several television series including Neighbours, Home and Away, The Tomorrow People, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Blindspot and The Code.
Landry Bender
The 20-year-old woman went to admire the city of Montreal from the Mont-Royal belvedere. The least we can say is that she was protected from COVID-19 and the cold! Nia Holloway
The 20-year-old actress played in the Hawaii Five-O and Majors & Minors TV series, but she is best known for her role as Nala in the theater adaptation of The Lion King.
Izabella Alvarez
Alvarez began her acting career at the age of six when she appeared in a Walmart commercial with her family. Since then, she has played roles in several series such as Shameless, Raised by Wolves, Westworld, Splitting Up Together and The Loud House. Recently, she played in the movie Magic Camp.
The Republic of Sarah will air on CW in 2021.
